How do I request items through Interlibrary Loan?

Answer

AWSOM Library has built a submission form for faculty and students to request articles through Docline, the ILL system for the National Library of Medicine:

Interlibrary Loan Temporary Use Form

Please be as detailed as possible in filling in the form, as this assists library staff in locating the correct article.

Note: This is a temporary form for ILL submission. The library will be rolling out a more streamlined Interlibrary Loan system called Tipasa in the fall of 2025.

It may take several days to a week for patrons to receive Interlibrary Loan requests, so patience is appreciated. Depending on the form of delivery requested, ILLs will either be emailed directly to patrons, or an email informing that the ILL is ready for pickup in the library will be issued.

Patrons engaging in Interlibrary Loan agree to remain compliant of U.S. Copyright Laws. For more information, visit the AWSOM Copyright Guide.
